shadow cut

dead, all 3 of them the reason to put these photos together, although i think they would sorta deserve to be independent, is that i took them to fit a certain theme and used the white bg as a common ground as was requested (read background). the full view is big but i hope you can enjoy it. if this kind of material is not up your alley, well you can always complain but it's waste of your time.


background
these were commission work for a band called Shadow Cut and the name actually fit the pictures so. i don't normally do commission work but i had my reasons now. firstly, i had artistic freedom to do what i wanted, i was asked for dead girls (name of the forthcoming album: Pictures Of Death) and preferrably with white bg color. that is easy. secondly, i own all the rights to them. and third, ~mok was the one to ask me do this, since he's doing the album covers to begin with, he posed for my photo series earlier.

left/bride
this was the last one i took. i was running out of white backgrounds so i thought i could have a bride lay dead on her dress. the night prior to the shoot i was thinking of the props and realized i don't have a wedding ring, yet i wanted the hand to be visible in the front. with suzilogic i figured i can just cut the finger off so i don't have to worry about it. it also adds some possible plot to the photo. she's clearly battered but i don't know how she supposedly died... but i do think that big wire cutters or such were used to cut the finger, u know those that look like eagles beak. my model for this shot was Allison i want to dedicate this photo to $spyed. i don't usually dedicate anything to anyone but if i was to do so i guess the CEO of dA would be a good choice to start with...being that lots of my photos wouldn't excist if it wasn't for this place. however, the main reason is, he did a fun interview with me a while back and in it he wrote "I always find myself wincing and peaking, wincing and peaking at the sight of some of her work." i am hoping this photo could do that for him again.

middle/mouth
i like the detail of this and again i don't know what happened to her but cuts were probably involved, as well as stabbing (internal wounds that explain why blood is comin out of her mouth). ` superkev helped me by to take this shot.

right/bathtub
one of the songs on the album is called Throatcuts 9, hence this one photo with a girl and her throat cut. it's a brand new cutter from the dollar store too her hands are tied with pantyhose. i think her throat was cut near the tub but outside it, and then she was put there to bleed. i guess there's a hit on her temple as well. the model for this photo was Nikkia Fia aka ~NikkiLace
