i just wanted to try something with paints and stuff, i appreciate the type of photographs that use human as a canvas and/or combine other materials with skin, but i have to admit it's one of my 'weakest links'. anyway, here i have kryolan's white skin make-up and black fabric paint. the photo has not been retouched except for contrast and some desaturation both in RAW format. only borders added.
i cannot really say what i wanted the pose to say...i think it's up to the viewer as it's not so obvious. i like the simplicity of this.
the model is my old friend, Johanna S., i've known her since i was 5 or something.
It's simple yes. Black and white always works great, even it's not a b/w shot (i can see a few colour aroung her eyes!)
Hm. I like how the black paint brings out the skin texture... and I have to think of how hard it must be to wash off.
Very good cropping too. Nice work, although it's not my favourite of yours.

Things get damaged, things get broken, I thought we'd managed, but words left unspoken...
i love the use of black and white in this - the starkness highlighting hte differences. i love the bland look in her eyes and the way the paint has brought out the texture in the skin, but at the same time, almost hides the eyebrows.
