my valentines day card to deviantART.

looking around it seems like i'm late, but valentines day isn't until tomorrow!

this pic was hell to begin with, everything went wrong and i spent two days just wondering if i should even bother to start working on it. well i did, and it was a learning experience in photoshop especially. the lights are still terrible and dress wrinkly but i don't really care, what's done is done.

i get this kind of blunt look when people ask "what's the point of this?" (regarding a bloody photo). the correct answer to a question like that is always; there is no point :)

oh and i use fake blood. for more info, please read my journal (titled fake blood FAQ or something).

ps. if you complain that you can't see the text clear enough it's because you didn't click full-view. so blame it on yourself.

well, surely photoshop is used here as in most works within the photography gallery, just like dark room methods were used back in the day, but i do think this is more a photograph than a painting for instance...:)

A photomanipulation is not a painting. It's an alteration of a photo using Photoshop other than for the purpose of boosting colors or changing brightness/contrast. Clearly you added the removal of the head, so it's an altered photo.

yes, its been modified, combined with a part off another photo in fact. which was also possible in dark room (and still is). so, i conclude that i find this most approriate in the photography section :) i hope my choice of section hasnt caused u much disappointment - u might run into these cases a lot if u keep browsing the photo gallery, be aware.
