my 2nd valentines day submission.

as i've said earlier, things or festives like this don't mean much to me but for some reason i like to do theme photos and also they're my way of thanking you and so i basically hope they please the audience. although i like them too.

it's important to note that the cutting is fake and i don't think it's necessarily a good idea to do cut. the photo might seem like an ad but only in the sense of expressive, radical advertising that wants to get your attention, i think i saw one ad where a sportsbrand's logo was 'burned' on the models face...so along those lines. besides that, this has some strings to reality i guess since i think teenage girls do 'stupid' things like this with their friends. i did, i don't regret it but u know, i could've lived without. most people i know are not too happy about their cutting scars later on so take the hint...

the model is Ako and the hands are mine, i gave her the remote control and put my head down and told her when to press the button :) the title is from a finnish song. it's nicely philosophical for an ironic photo like this.

how is it done?
red lipstick to draw a heart. smudge it.
'hard' fakeblood to dot some darker spots and lines.
liquid fakeblood on top that gives a fresh feel.

It's actually very difficult to cut a heart into your skin. Not that I ever tried it in a fit of emo during high school after a breakup. Noooo.

I think my favorite part of the picture is the reds. The background and the nail polish bring out the blood on her skin. Very nice!
