i was asked for a general tutorial on fixing photos, like blemishes etc. because i have no life, here you are the preview shows the instruction layer and layers included.
what is this?a photoshop file made in adobe photosohop CS2. you need to download it and open it in photoshop. will probably open also in PS7 and CS1.
in more detail, what is this? PS file with layers that show what i did to the photo, plus a layer with close ups and text to instruct the steps one by one. it does not explain what is a dodge tool, so it's not for total beginners, but if you've worked a bit on photos then it should work for you. also, this file does not go into color management, detailed fancy instructions etc., it is really just the basic tools to fix a photo (more specifically a person in a photo). if your photo is bad or underesposed, this tutorial does not help. also, to be really useful, this tutorial requires you to use your brain a bit, the photo i used did not require a lot of adjusting, but if yours does, the same tools apply, just try them out and experiment
note: although i included a full PS file, it is my copyrighted material and not stock.
see my gallery and scraps for more PS or photo tutorials
personally the clone tool is my way, nice to see how you do it

I'm just about to download to check it out, I really appreciate these tutorials!
But I just wanted to say, I second choosing the healing tool over the clone tool. It definitely does blend way better.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
