i almost skipped this year, some unfortunate incidents and lack of time got on my way inconveniently. but in the end, it's a tradition to me already, and the only present i can give you to thank for the support during this year, so it had to be done.

so, thank you, and have a red, sexy christmas.

instead of a very staged style like previous christmasses ([link] , [link] ) i decided to go for something more impulsive, lively and ...blonde ;) ps. if u can't figure out what it's about, your monitor may be too dark and maybe u oughta take a step back to be able to tell :)

how does it feel to ALWAYS get super good comments whatever you choose to post? I mean, honestly, this picture aint that nice and would if posted by someone else never get any appriciation. Don't take this the wrong way, it's nothing personal or an insult, i guess i'm just curious...

i am not really responsible for other peoples comments am i? should i be sorry or what would u like me to say? just tell me, i'm open about stuff :)

No, ofcourse i don't think you'r the least bit of responsible for what people write about your art. What i'm curious about (and this is not any critics towards you in any way) is how it feels to always recieve great comments whatever you upload. I myself would feel kinda lost in some kind of way. It would feel that it no longer mather what i upload, i will get great feedback anyway. So how do you feel about it?

well, u get used to things, right...thats the first thing. so it doesn't spur strong emotions every time i submit a photo and get good comments. (in general)

then there's the factor that if the photo is "seriously" great, it'll get 10x more good comments, and if its not so good it only gets "50" good comments (i just threw that number out of my head, but u get the point.) so basically, the numbers might vary between artists, but there tends to be a relation between good and not so good photos and how many good comments they receive. so artist A's bad photo might get 1 good comment and their really good photo 10 comments. for me the relation is the same, the numbers are just different, and i appreciate the fact that i can tell if people like my photos more or less because i have an overview image of how many comments my photos 'usually' get.

and finally, it makes me feel grateful because whether those comments are considered deserved or not by others, the fact is that someone out there writes those positive comments, and i should be thankful for it. like, Madonna prolly sells a lot of cd's just because she is Madonna...u know some people will buy anything she does. but how did she get to that point? its not like she just emerged from the dark one day and *tadaa* she had a million fans? she did something *before* to in a way deserve these sales today. if the CD is bad, it might feel wrong, but that is how this world works. anyway so i am grateful to be in a position where people think so much of me, whether it is deserved or not.

:) i hope that answers your question

I thought you stopped doing self portraits. Well I guess you couldn't resist. =)

Nice image. Different from other greeting cards I've seen.
