rather simple aye? i also thought of calling this 'i never dreamt of this', as doing this is not something we dream to do 'when we grow up' etc. we want to succeed, find a partner maybe, find a nice job... but things don't always go as planned. anyway, the studio set up and frozen pose make this somewhat unreal or statue-like whereas there are real emotions behind the face - supposedly. that was my idea, i for some reason want to create images that hold pain inside and only a small crack in the pretty front will give it out. you could think of the tears in her eyes as as that small crack. or the 'crack' on her neck...whatever...

it's also unrealistic in the way she looks at us, no one cuts a vein in their throat and keeps a face like that. i also do not suggest you try cutting yourself, throat or elsewhere, this photo is not intended to encourage that behavior. it looks pretty, but that alone does not mean it's glofifying suicide, the title and her eyes tell a sadder reality and i don't think we want to be there. i cannot explain the pose though no matter how i try, i suppose it's just my style, to show natural things mixed with unnatural things and posing for the camera. i think that's all i have to say. why do i like expressing sad things so much? i don't know.

the straight razor is made to look like it's in the throat by me snapping a piece off it, from the corner. i know i'll get some 'constructive critcism' on how the blood should be but this is the way i figured it is in this photo, just after 10 or so seconds of pressing the blade in one vein.
